| Great Falls is
the seat of Cascade County, Montana. As of the 2000 census, the population of
the city was 56,690. The Roe River, near the city, is considered to be
the shortest river in the world. Montana State University is located
here as well as Great Falls College of Technology, University of Great Falls and the Montana School for the Deaf and the Blind.
There is also a minor league baseball team called the White Sox. The local newspaper is the Great Falls Tribune.
